Building Enclosure Council - Research Triangle Chapter company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Building Enclosure Councils (BECs) are located in twenty-seven major cities across the United States and are charged with providing a forum for the construction industry on the crucial area of the building enclosure and building science issues of local concern. The BEC chapters were formed under an Agreement between the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) and The American Institute of Architects (“National BETEC/AIA Agreement”) dated May 18th, 2004. Through meetings and information resources, the BECs provide valuable information on successful building enclosure design. The Building Enclosure Council of Research Triangle (BEC-RT) is organized to provide an interdisciplinary, collaborative forum where architects, engineers, consultants, manufacturer’s technical or scientific representatives, contractors, developers, owners, facility managers, and other interested individuals can meet. The intent is to provide a means by which all of those with an interest in the building enclosure and the related building science can discuss common issues, obtain information, discuss local issues, and otherwise address subjects related to the building enclosure. BEC-RT is intended to: (1) Promote and encourage discussion, training, education, technology transfer, and the exchange of information about local issues and cases, relevant weather conditions, and all matters concerning the building enclosure and the related science; (2) Initiate and promote cross-disciplinary and cross-responsibility dialogue; and (3) Facilitate improvements with respect to the process (design, construction, inspection, approvals, codes, regulations, standards, liability matters, and the like) for matters that affect the building enclosure. BEC-RT AND AIA TRIANGLE The Building Enclosure Council of Research Triangle (BEC-RT) is a sub-committee of the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects, AIA Triangle.
