Welcome to BeCoM's LinkedIn page! Better Contrail Mitigation, "BeCoM," stands at the forefront of cutting-edge research, generously funded by the EU. BeCoM's mission is to enhance our understanding of the climate impact linked to contrails. We'll share all the latest updates, innovations, and research findings from the BeCoM Project so follow us! BeCoM will largely reduce (>50%) or eliminate the global mean contrail radiative forcing, hence a substantial reduction of aviation’s share of global warming to be achievable on a much shorter time horizon. This is facilitated by confidently forecast of persistent contrails, the reduced weather-dependent individual contrail radiative effects, and the successful avoidance of strongly warming contrails via trajectory optimization.
