Our Story...
Traditionally over the last 40+ years Bedfords has been the place to drink & chat in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Today it’s no different, well apart from the complete re-fit conducted by the owner, Glen Carr and his son Jonathan Carr, the General Manager.
Along with their dedicated, professional and hard working team of staff they have achieved great success over the last 6 years and continue to improve and grow the ever-popular bar.
A recent refurbishment (2018) has seen the removal of the kitchen which has now been turned into The Vault, a secluded premium bar situated on the middle floor and a refit of the summer bar which serves the courtyard.
Also a 10k investment into live music has seen a new stage erected in the Upstairs bar along with a new PA and lighting set up to give you that professional feel at all live music events.
This now means Bedfords has 4 bars, this teamed with amazing wines, a vast selection of spirits from around the world, some of the cities best cocktails and a portion of Norwich’s finest live music, all in one of the cities safest and most diverse bars, if you haven’t visited us before, you won’t be disappointed
