bee PERA

bee PERA is focused on the conservation of bees and other pollinators needed for the sustainable development of agriculture and other sectors. We provide basic skills for recreational and professional beekeeping for undergraduates and other interested parties. We also aim to increase awareness of entrepreneurship, marketing, and value creation in apiculture and encourage undergraduates to start up their own businesses related to apiculture. We also identify research needs in apiculture and conduct research at the well-equipped entomology laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Peradeniya.
