BK entered the field of turnkey projects in 1987 as a logical sequence to its manufacturing experience to gainfully utilize its expertise and capabilities accumulated over the years. The first job undertaken on Turnkey concept was the "Cold Bonded Pellet Plant" for SAIL-RDCIS, Ranchi. This was a pilot plant, first of its kind in India, put up at Gua Iron Ore Mines, Bihar. Then, SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant entrusted the entire work for their 2.5 MTPA iron ore processing line at Dalli Iron Ore Mines. This work was completed successfully. After this, SAIL continued to entrust challenging projects which were completed as per stipulated schedules. The prestigious projects of "PBCC Plant" for SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant and "2100 TPH Primary Crushing Facilities" for SAIL, Bhilai Steel Plant Dalli Ore Mines were commissioned and are performing satisfactorily. BK has also successfully completed the construction of 600 m3 BF for Nacast, 350 m3 BF for SJK Steel, 350 m3 & 1650 m3 BF for Jindal Steel, 1250 m3 & 1650 m3, BF for Jindal Vijaynagar, 215 m3 BF for VISA Industries, Orissa and 1650 m3 BF for Bhushan , Angul is under completion. Major works entrusted by SAIL were the Installation of Long Rail Finishing facilities at Bhilai which was commissioned in consortium with Voest Alpine, Austria ; Installation of 4-strand Bloom Caster at Durgapur Steel Plant, Installation for 130 T Ladle Furnace and Slab Caster for Bhilai in consortium with Danieli & C of Italy. Installation of RH Degasser at Bhilai with VAI, Austria and H M Desulfurisation at Bhilai with ESM, USA. Revamping & up-gradation of 2300M3 BF# 7 at Bhilai Steel Plant with Danieli Corus and Mecon.
