The Belgian Diplomacy Family Association, in short BeFamily, is a membership association for family members whose partner is employed in the external career of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. BeFamily is run by and for family members. Our history goes back several decades (under the name 'Alloquium). Our purpose remains the same; assisting you, as a family member, with the challenges you encounter while moving and living around the world. This includes Brussels. We nowadays mainly do this by advocating for family policy matters within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We get issues on the agenda and propose solutions. This can be anything from education or employment abroad to pension, housing, healthcare, travel or childcare.
