The Belgian Rail Freight Forum #railfreightBE unites rail freight operators that are active in Belgium. The Forum has the ambition to double the volumes of freight transport by rail in Belgium and Europe. With a current transport model consisting of 75% road transport (74% in Belgium) and the predicted growth of the transport sector of 30% by 2030, a modal shift to rail freight is the better socio-economic solution to counter the transport sector’s negative impact mobility, climate and health.
