Believe:NeuroDiversity is the peak body for improving the outcomes of neurodiverse people within Australia. Our Mission: To highlight the strengths of neurodiversity in order to improve the outcomes of neurodiverse people within Australia. Our Vision: To bring about a world where neurodiversity is valued. Where society supports and celebrates the unique minds of neurodiverse individuals, without negative stigmas. This is our commitment to change. It is estimated that at least 1 in 10 people are neurodiverse. Neurodiversity is the broad term that describes variations in how the brain works. It includes autism/Aspergers, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Tourette's and many other neural variants. We are particularly focused on employment outcomes and are passionate about focusing on the strengths of individuals and what they can do and celebrating their unique minds, rather than focusing on their weaknesses. We work with organisations and neurodiverse people to educate, support, guide and inspire. How can we assist your organisation? The Believe:NeuroDiversity iNDex is a groundbreaking measurement tool that rates how well an organisation has progressed in regards to embracing neurodiversity. It indexes things like: - Understanding of neurodiversity - HR practices - Psychological safety Why does iNDex exist? You may have heard some of these phrases: “What gets measured, gets done.” “You don’t know what you don’t know.” “If you can not measure it, you can not improve it.” This is the exact reason we created iNDex. We want organisations to have meaningful data about their efforts towards neuro-inclusion in the workplace. Through access to this data, we believe organisations will be better equipped to create and sustain safe and inclusive environments for neurodivergent talent.
