Belong Nottingham

Belong is a refugee community organisation which is run entirely by refugee and asylum seeker volunteers from the African Continent. It came into operation in February 2002 in response to the growing demands of African refugees and asylum seekers in terms of requiring culturally specific support to assist the integration process within the city of Nottingham. At Belong we seek to help and assist individuals from the community into employability. We offer a range of services and training courses to support individuals with their confidence, job skills, curriculum vitae and interview skills. We offer support for those who need CV's updating or creating, searching applying for jobs and interview skills. There is also an opportunity to become a volunteer employability champion in your community through the Employability Champion Programme. You will support and help mentor local residents back into employment.
