Belt Bag, based in Pregnana Milanese in the Humana People To People head-quarter, is the brand of Occhio del Riciclone social cooperative, a non-profit company part of Humana People to People Italia. BRAND Each Belt Bag product is a unique piece in its shape and color, made in Italy at Pregnana Milanese laboratory which includes the design and production area. The lines, with an essential and refined design, are made with pre and post-consumer recovered materials (seat belts, leftover fabrics, deadstocks, and used cloths). Its intent is to do social and ethical business through the systematization of the practice of reuse as a new production paradigm for healthy recycling, low environmental impact and ethical fashion production made in Italy. CREATION PROCESS The creation process of each line begins with the study of the recovered material, and the design and the realization of the prototypes, and ends with the refinement and quality control. The attention to every seam, the skimming from defects, the study of materials : each phase is important and contributes to create a unique product. MATERIAL DONATION All materials are donated by the prestigious Italian companies of fabrics and imitation leather. The fabrics are often combinated with the seat belts, an identifying element of the brand, recovered from demolition companies, sanitized and reused. Belt Bag items are made by designer/makers specialized in the design and production of handmade items. Each item is produced following an accurate stylistic procedure that allows us to have unique and refined bags down to the smallest details.
