Belvas is a family owned chocolatier dedicated to partnership with its farmer’s. We have built factories near the farms so that the cocoa can be processed at the source and the communities therefore get more value from the product. The farmers also have a seat on our Board and a say in how things are done. This is why Belvas stands for BEL-gium and VAS = Value Added for the South. We take great pride to make delicious chocolate in small batches in the heart of Belgium using traditional techniques and the best ingredients. It goes without saying that everything is Fair Trade. But we also are Organic, NonGMO, Vegan, and Kosher, and more recently Demeter (Biodynamic farming) certified.
