Ben Simon's Guitar Lessons

After graduating from Trent University in May of 2016, Ben Simon dedicated himself to teaching guitar lessons in his hometown of Bradford, Ontario. Ben Simon’s Guitar Lessons opened in 2009. While teaching guitar was Ben’s first profession at the age of 13, he had planned to take the same career path as his parents - teaching. After losing his father in the fall of 2013, Ben found himself searching for clarity and direction. The loss deeply impacted him because Ben’s father was the person who took him to music lessons, encouraged him to become a guitar teacher at 13 and truly understood him…and his love for music. When Ben turned to music after losing his Dad, it had a different meaning…it became his safety net, a way to express himself and something that he knew he had to share with others. As a guitar teacher and a musician, Ben’s students benefit from his knowledge, experience and passion. Students can start taking lessons as young as six years old, and people of all ages benefit from Ben’s positive and authentic teaching style. In October of 2016, Ben was nominated for the “Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award” by the Bradford Board of Trade. Ben Simon has also released two albums, “The Reckoning” and “Worship the Ancient,” and is working on a third. Ben’s students see that his profession is so much more than a job for him…he has the ability to make teaching fun, engaging and challenging while guiding his students’ progress.
