The disparity in access to these benefits is the primary structural barrier Benefit Global, Inc. seeks to better understand and improve in order to drive better public health outcomes and improvements in health equity in our country and worldwide. The workforce is changing In 2017, 56.7 million Americans chose to work as independents, without access to traditional corporate benefits. It’s estimated that independent contractors will outnumber salaried workers by 2027. These independents are choosing to forgo access to traditional employer-provided benefits but at what cost? If the workforce is changing, we believe the access to benefits should, too. At Benefit, we think the future of work, should work for everyone.
