Benetti Engineering is a compact embedded engineering firm with over 20 years of experience in low-level system design. We cover the full embedded stack horizontally — from hardware bring-up and board design to BSPs, kernel drivers, media pipelines, and connectivity.
We work with SoCs like Rockchip, Allwinner, NXP, and Microchip, using Linux with Buildroot, Yocto, and custom U-Boot. We maintain and integrate over 15 external Wi-Fi drivers, and manage complex vendor-specific GPU stacks (e.g. ARM Mali with closed-source blobs), ensuring reliable deployment across varied hardware platforms.
We also develop firmware for MCUs (ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC) with advanced protocol stacks such as USB Host/Device, CANopen, and Modbus. Our workflows often involve mixed MCU/Linux systems, with robust interface management.
We routinely work with sensors and actuators, taking into account EMI/EMC, signal integrity, and load driving — designing not just for functionality, but for compliance and long-term reliability. For early-stage validation, we rely on our in-house pre-certification lab to perform RF, EMC, and power-related testing.
On the debugging side, we make extensive use of professional tools like Trace32 and GDB, allowing deep inspection of runtime behavior on both bare-metal and OS-based targets.
