A family orientated drag racing team with 6 European Championships under their belt, there isn't much that these guys don't know about drag racing... Home to the NFAA '32 Fiat Topolino methanol altered driven by Frank Bennett, the Supercharged Outlaw '32 Bantam methanol altered driven by Luke Bennett and the Wild Bunch slingshot dragster driven by Adam Bennett. Bennett Racing were formed in 1981, initially fielding a small block Chevy powered 1958 Ford Popular in which they won their very first event they entered, they then went on to compete with this car until 1987 picking up event many wins and dozens of trophies along the way. They then needed to go quicker so put together a replica 1932 Topolino-bodied blown-alcohol altered which firstly ran in the European Top Alcohol Championship, they did well in this and their best memory was reaching the semi finals of the World Finals in 1994 (until it rained!) From 1996 they raced in a newly formed class, The Supercharged Outlaws and won numerous events, received many ‘low elapsed time’ awards and also many championships. Fast forward to 2005 and a new title sponsor was found at the Xtreme Wheels show in 2005 and they began to compete in the newly-formed Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association (NFAA), came 3rd in their debut season, in 2006 came a disputed '2nd' as they only lost the championship to a ‘best burnout’ rule...they won all their races. In 2007 they had a tuff year but still managed 3rd, in 2008 they only competed for a few events as crew chief Luke Bennett had a 9 month battle with cancer (but came out stronger), then in 2009 they won every event they entered and were finally awarded the championship. 2010 saw Luke Bennett win the APIRA Iris Page Memorial Trophy.
