Beolobe roughly translates to Organizing for the Wellbeing of Indigenous Communities. Be Olobe is Madagascar’s first national platform that brings together the island’s community-led conservation initiatives.
Uniquely linking marine and terrestrial landscapes and communities, it aims to :
- mobilize investments and resources in support of Indigenous and local communities’ well-being and their guardianship of natural resources ; and,
- amplify the powerful voice of local communities as the front line of conservation in Madagascar.
