The Berkeley Investment Group, founded in 1997 as the California Investment Association, is the first and largest undergraduate investment club at UC Berkeley. As a club we have two goals: to educate our members and have them feel comfortable investing on their own by the time they graduate, and managing our fund with $250,000 of AUM.
We pursue a deep-value investing approach combining rigorous fundamental analysis with in-depth financial modelling, a method that has enabled us to regularly beat the S&P500 achieving a 32% return over the last fiscal year.
