Microfinance at Berkeley

We facilitate 0% interest loans of up to $5,000 on Kiva Zip and are in the process of developing a student-led social media, credit building and business training curriculum to benefit current and aspiring business owners in the Bay Area. Berkeley Microfinance is a UC Berkeley student-run group with a mission to promote entrepreneurialism in the Bay Area by offering our clients access to financial resources and microloans. We also seek to serve as a platform for UC Berkeley students to expand their learning about microfinance while developing close ties to the local community as we channel the time, enthusiasm and energy of students into empowering local entrepreneurs.
