Berkeley’s City Auditor is an elected official and works for, and reports to, the residents of Berkeley. The Auditor’s job is to monitor and provide oversight of all City activities.
Jenny Wong was elected as the Berkeley City Auditor in November 2018. She was an auditor, coach, and training coordinator at the federal U.S. Government Accountability Office for 18 years. She also previously worked on health and mental issues in San Francisco and New York. She holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from UC Berkeley (Go Bears!) and a Master’s in Public Administration from NYU. She recently adopted office values of integrity, independence, impact, and inclusion, and is excited to serve the residents of Berkeley.
