Berlin Collective Action e.V.

BCA started when several people from organizations like aequa, POLY. Artists and DOGMA, came together with members from different collectives (Berlin Strippers' Collective, Host Aware, Lecken, Room 4 Resistance, Radiant Love, TS Raver and TUF), to come up with a swift way of redistributing much-needed resources and support to those in our queer nightlife communities most severely impacted by the crisis — precarious low-income workers, non-EU migrants and people of color, trans- and gender non-conforming people, sex workers, those with pre-existing conditions who may therefore be more socially isolated, and those for whom alternative systems of support (whether state-provided or familial) do not generally exist. Where government support fails we try to step in and offer some relief to applicants so they can pay rent, their health insurance or buy food. Our financial aid and resource sharing is here to create breathing space for individuals so that they can take their next steps in this crisis. Our redistribution process relies 100% on donations and our work is predominantly pro bono.
