Berser Shipping was founded in Rotterdam Holland in 1979. In the early years the company was acting as BENELUX agents for Beresford Transport in Stoke on Trent. Rapidly the company took on the role of ‘Gateway to Europe‘ for many of the traditional potteries in Staffordshire. To support this important role the number of activities were rapidly extended. In order to support the Berser Group locally, Berser International Cargo Services was founded in Stoke-on-Trent in 1989. Over thirty years and with entrepreneurial leadership, Berser has grown from strength to strength and continues to do so. In 2021 Emerge Ecommerce acquired a major stake in the UK business with an aim to continue to build upon the great foundation we see today.
