Our Story The Story of Bert’s Inc. Bert Agee was born in 1935 and had been a Peninsula resident since 1941 until his passing in 2015. He graduated from Warwick High School in 1954, Bert served his military obligation in the US Army’s 11th Airborne Division. He was a dedicated Ranger serving in the Korean War and continued skydiving as a sport for years. Education and Training Bert attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, graduating with a BS in engineering. he attended the Refrigeration Service Engineering Society (RSES) which included heating, ventilation, and air conditioning courses, completing it in 1964. Bert went to work building his skills in the HVAC-R trade and in 1970 he went to work for Tidewater Trane later called Tidewater Service. After many years working for others, Mr. Agee started Bert’s Service in 1979. The company has gone though some changes over the years and when his son Joey completed his education in HVAC-R, he joined his dad and Bert’s Inc was born. Bert’s Commitment to Quality With over 45 years’ experience Bert built a company on the Peninsula committed to providing quality customer service, low service rates and providing outstanding products. Joey continues to operate and run the business his father started years ago and has well over 30 years’ experience providing the same level of home cooling, home heating and commercial refrigeration service his father started.
