Bertis was founded as a family business in 1992, and has grown from its beginnings as a distributor of food products to a group of companies operating mainly in the meat industry, in food marketing and restaurants.
30 years of experience and professional commitment are the guarantee of the high quality meat products and services produced by Bertis. The company culture is based on the values that has characterized the company over the last three decades: openness to continuous professional development and the maintenance of high quality.
Today we have a reliable team of over 800 employees. We have built a new, modern headquarter, a meat processing factory (2006 - 2010), a bakery and pastisserie (2012), as well as cold storages, all equipped and organized to meet European standards. Compared to a meat production capacity of one ton/day in 2004 - 2005, we now have the ability to produce 40 tons per day.
Over the years, we have opened 13 modern food stores both in Covasna and Brașov county. The distribution team covers Brașov, Covasna, Harghita and Mureș counties, plus the Valea Prahovei region, and thus reaching to over 1,500 stores, partner catering locations, both with our own products and those that we commercialize.
