We catalyze ethical, inclusive and relevant industry-sponsored clinical trials by collaborating with physicians in private practice. Several challenges, such as a busy schedule, lack of prior industry relationship, and the absence of a dedicated research team prevent physicians in private practice from participating in industry sponsored trials. Since the current clinical trials arrangement has shown a disproportionate under representation of minority researchers in clinical trials, changing the paradigm by including more researchers in private practices can potentially help to bring more diversity to clinical research. As noted by Yisabel Yates et al in a recent article, Investigator bias is one of the leading causes of low representation of minorities in clinical trials, furthermore, Yates et al argued that study participants a likely to enroll in studies if they have more affinity with the investigators. Hence our focus on independent, stand alone or independent group practices will help bring diversity to clinical trials by bringing investigators who are closer to the patients. We also work with larger groups who share our vision of creating a balanced, ethical and science driven clinical trial paradigm.
