BESS-dim offers a cloud-based software for the dimensioning (sizing) of battery energy stroage systems (BESS) for commercial and industrial applciations. Th emain focus is on peak shaving to reduce the power factor of the electircity bill and to increase the self-consumption of photovoltaic systems. BESS-dim offers a comprehensive operational simulation with optimized algorithms and a complete fionancial model providing CAPEX and OPEX of the battery system as well as the revenue streams of the applciations. The results of the financial model provide the user an overview about amortisation time, net-present-value and the levelized cost of storage to make the right investment decision and to secure financing.
