Building Evaluation Services and Technology (BEST) is a consulting firm that specializes in architectural/engineering, environmental, and Green High Performance Building services for commercial lenders and real estate professionals. Founder and President, Keith Bartlett, established BEST in 1992. Mr. Bartlett has been involved with the Fannie Mae DUS Program since its inception in 1988, when he performed the first approved Fannie Mae inspection for Reilly Mortgage in 1988. Since that time, BEST has completed over 10,000 Physical Needs/Phase I Environmental reports in all 50 states, as well as in Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean. BEST specializes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac protocols, with over 75% of our inspections occurring for either of these two programs. BEST's primary emphasis is on multifamily communities, but we also have a diversified portfolio that includes healthcare facilities, hotels, retail centers, office buildings, warehouses, storage facilities, and mixed use developments. Our company focus is to thoroughly ascertain the condition of the physical asset and environmental issues affecting the financing, acquisition, refinancing, pre-foreclosure, renovation, and construction of all types of commercial real estate. BEST is a professional commercial property inspection firm developed to provide comprehensive inspection services for mortgage lenders and investors(Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac).
