Bestway LNG Stations

At BESTWay we work to identify, implement and validate new LNG / CNG refueling solutions along the Spanish - French Atlantic corridor. Our project consists in the construction and operation of 9 LNG / CNG load stations through this corridor as a priority in the list of the trans-European transport network and defined in the CEF guidelines. Goals • Identify and deploy value-added ICT services to transporters capable of enabling a rapid increase in the number of natural gas vehicles (NGVs) for road transport, together with a competitive alternative fuel (LNG / CNG). • Improve logistics, quality and safety of LNG / CNG cargo operations through the implementation of new and advanced systems of control and management of service stations. • Propose and implement feasible new solutions for the standardization and regulation of LNG / CNG service stations capable of being extrapolated to other Member States and to EU operators. • Ensure interoperability through certification of training, operational procedures and safety; as well as through compatible payment systems, with the aim of ensuring public access to carriers at all LNG / CNG load stations. • Facilitate the massive use of natural gas as an alternative fuel for clean transport across EU Member States and partner countries. • Obtain the participation and support of the Ministries of Transport of the Member States of the trans-European transport network. Affiliates: Gas Natural Europe, Gas Natural Services and GTD System & Software Engineering have joined CEF to carry out the Bestway project. The allocated budget is 7.7 M € (50% contributed by CEF) and the planning is carried out between September 2014 and December 2017.
