We bridge the gap in support for women impacted by someone else’s gambling. Through education, community, and practical tools, we provide a lifeline for those who often feel unheard and unsupported. Our approach is holistic, focusing not just on financial recovery but also on relationships, confidence, and overall well-being.
The Unique Challenges Women Face
The specific challenges women face in relation to gambling harm are becoming increasingly apparent. Socio-economic pressures, caregiving roles, and sometimes abusive relationships contribute to a complex experience of gambling harm that is distinct from men’s. While men still gamble slightly more than women, the gap is closing, especially in online gambling. For many women, gambling often becomes a way to emotionally escape or cope with financial stress, difficult relationships, or trauma. However, the stigma surrounding gambling—often seen as a "man’s problem"—leaves many women feeling isolated, preventing them from seeking help.
