The Better Shoes Foundation is a not-for-profit trade initiative aimed at accelerating the footwear industry's transition to sustainable production. Our core mission is to: 1.⁠ ⁠Run a highly resourceful knowledge-sharing platform to signpost best practice and to connect brands and producers with credible sustainability service providers and low-impact material suppliers. 2. Work towards a level playing field by pursuing industry-specific standards and promoting businesses that genuinely adhere to best social and environmental practices. 3.⁠ ⁠Enable consumers to make informed, evidence-based choices which in turn spurs transition in the shoe industry - a win-win for business, consumers, and the planet.
