BetterOasis is a residential and supported living accommodation services provider for 16+ children and adults in England. We provide a safe and homely environment that stimulates social, emotional, and intellectual development encouraging young people to be independent and fulfil their full potential. Our Approach BetterOasis is guided by a pedagogical approach to working with young people. A common way of approaching pedagogy is as the art, science, and even craft of teaching personal development and independence. Pedagogy is the process of accompanying learners; caring for and about them, and bringing learning to life. We work with young people using the following approach; Animate – encourage young people to join others to bring their personal goals to life. Care – we encourage young people in our care to be concerned about people’s needs and wellbeing and take practical steps to help. Educate- we help young people to reflect commit and act.
