Beyond Food delivers training programmes for adults who have experienced, or are at risk of, homelessness. Everything we do is focused on hospitality and catering and our flagship programme is a yearlong apprenticeship in professional cookery, hosted at our social enterprise restaurant, Brigade Bar and Bistro in London Bridge. Alongside practical cookery training, we provide holistic support to help participants overcome their personal barriers to work.
Every 6 months, we receive around 100 referrals from homelessness organisations pan London and we've now supported more than 1,000 people through our training programmes.
Alongside our social impact, Brigade has a busy bar, bistro, private dining and cook school. We host a series of supper clubs called the Social Diner where we invite a high profile or Michelin Star chef to cook alongside our apprentices.
