Beyond Steel is a technology company focusing on composite body structures for battery electric vehicles. Our composite 3D components allow for modular platforms with ultra high performance, ultra-low mass and multi-functionality. Our 3D technology allows parts to be 'grown' in directions where structure is required without increasing part count and mass. Due to the high performance of parts, glass fibre may be the primary reinforcement hence reducing material cost. Our technology allows a step change in automotive structures and allows automotive engineering teams to rethink challenges as they develop new vehicles. This includes assembly sequence of the complete vehicle. Experience with some customer projects show mass savings as great as 50% when compared with cast aluminium baselines without loss of performance, and generally a performance increase. Vehicle-level structures can be manufactured with very low CAPEX when compared with metallic equivalents. Factory footprint is small with low energy usage.
