Our project at Beyond the Pitch is simple - to provide a platform for all the important stories in women’s football that don’t get the coverage they deserve.
We now have a team of 50 diverse, talented individuals - some working in the industry for the first time, others vastly experienced. Everyone in our team has the same underlying passion for the purpose of this project. Our team is supportive; we work together, learn together and grow together.
We cover every league and every level of women’s football - from grassroots, to academies, to the top level and every single area in between. We won’t only prioritise covering the top players, we will give everyone the coverage they deserve.
By hiring individuals from all over the globe, we ensure we cover stories from every continent - helping reach areas of the world that the mainstream media has ignored for too long.
We tackle important issues including mental health, injury crises, equality and diversity, allowing everyone involved in the women’s football sphere to not only hear these stories, but share theirs.
We contact individuals involved in all areas of women’s football - players, coaches, staff and fans. We give them a chance to talk about their experiences, shared via articles, podcast episodes or social media content.
‘You have to see it to be it’ - it’s simple. Women’s football is for everyone, and the media should reflect that. At Beyond the Pitch that is our utmost priority.
