BC US was founded in 2012 in SW Florida.
We have AAALAC accreditation from 2020.
We have 3 core activities :
Breeding , holding and CDC quarantine.
Breeding of SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) Mauritian origine Cynomolgus monkeys for biomedical research. BC US LLC core value is to breed naturally occurring SPF Cynomolgus monkeys with the best possible welfare and environmental enrichment.
Quarantine : we have 2 CDC approved quarantines. We were approved by CDC as the first social group quarantine in the US and we have also indoor quarantine for pair housing of animals.
NHP imported & kept exclusively from one source = Bioculture Mauritius.
Outdoor quarantine is more cost effective and welfare friendly than indoor holding.
Holding : All our cages are built by Florida Hurricane construction codes.
All our cages have both outdoor & indoor setting + environmental enrichment devices & welfare program .
All animals from the same source will guarantee no cross contamination from non-Bioculture SPF cynos.
Holding in the best cyno-specific large outdoor housing existing in the market.
Our holding is done in social group housing of compatible animals
We are located in an ideal weather for NHP with the most naturalistic feeding .
NHP holding under CDC, USDA and FW supervision.
Peer review by AAALAC and global client/collaborator visits.
NHP are in the US so once needed for study they can be delivered in short time to clients and this give more flexibility.
