The Berufsförderungswerk Düren (abbrev. BFW Düren) is a vocational training and consulting centre that is recognised throughout the region . It specialises in the professional reintegration and qualification of blind and visually impaired people in all phases of life. The BFW Our aim is to support those affected by the inevitable change, to strengthen their self-confidence and to open the way for an independent life. The BFW has its roots in the RBV Düren, which has been committed to the participation of people with disabilities for more than 150 years. We draw on this long experience and continuously develop our competences, especially in diagnostics and assessment. As a solution-oriented innovator, we attach great importance to intensive cooperation with government departments, medical professionals and social institutions in order to exploit joint synergies. In the vocational rehabilitation market, we are in competition to continually reorganise our services for those affected, employers and rehabilitation providers in a future-oriented way. The BFW Düren is a foundation member of the "European Network for Vision Impairment Training Education & Research" (www.enviter.eu) and cooperates since more than 20 years with transnational partners in European funded projects.
