Founded in 1959, the James L. McKeown Boys & Girls Club of Woburn is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the mission to inspire all youth to find their greatness. We do this by providing: - a safe haven filled with hope and opportunity - ongoing relationships with caring adults - life-enhancing programs Our Organizational Values - Create strong, healthy relationships - Provide a positive, safe & fun environment - Build youth ownership - Offer unlimited opportunities to learn & BE GREAT! Our Programmatic Priorities - Lifelong Learning…inspires youth to become proficient in not only basic educational disciplines, but also applies and encourages learning beyond the classroom to everyday situations to achieve success as self-sufficient members of society. - Invested, Active Citizenship…empowers youth to support and influence the Club and community, build meaningful relationships, develop a positive self-identity and be aware of and care for the world around them. - Positive, Healthy Decision Making…strengthens young people’s capacity to engage in healthy behaviors including fitness, positive use of leisure time, social skills and goal setting by fostering the values and tools necessary to do so.
