Blue Gen Therapeutics Foundation is a 501c3 California non-profit clinical-stage biotech dedicated to advancing gene therapy treatments for rare inherited retinal diseases. Our focus is on utilizing adeno-associated virus (AAV) based intravitreal gene therapies for the treatment of Blue Cone Monochromacy and Achromatopsia, providing crucial solutions to these rare inherited retinal diseases that severely impact vision. Inspired by the pioneering spirit of our founders, John Cavitt and Dr. Szilárd Kiss, our mission is deeply personal. John Cavitt, our CEO, is the father of three children affected by Blue Cone Monochromacy, giving him a unique perspective and driving passion to find a cure. Dr. Kiss, our Chief Medical Officer, is a renowned expert in the field of gene therapy and has dedicated his career to advancing treatments for rare diseases.
