About Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations
Since our inception in 1943, the Birmingham Committee on Foreign Relations has been the leading foreign policy study group in Alabama. The Committee prides itself on the intellectual content of our meetings and the caliber of our speakers. It is our belief that all Americans should be informed and deeply engaged on matters of foreign policy, and our committee works hard to bring the world to Birmingham. We have three primary goals: to facilitate thought-provoking and educational dialogue on foreign policy, to encourage Birmingham’s next generation (high school students, local university students, and young professionals) to become engaged in world affairs, and to showcase the city of Birmingham to our guests and the world.
