We foster applied research through close collaboration with Government Organizations, International Agencies, Non-Governmental Organizations, and Civil Society Organizations.

BIRD was founded on 29 May 2013 by Mr. Sonam Tshering soon after earning his PhD in Interdisciplinary Intelligent Systems Engineering with a major in Statistical Analysis and Modeling from the University of the Ryukyus, Japan.
