Bienmoyo Charitable Foundation

Bienmoyo (meaning good heart and soul in combined French and Swahili) is a registered USIRS 501c(3) organization that provides advisory services to public and private partners in developing countries. The organization addresses a significant opportunity to: 1) engage local partners to tailor the design of programs that strengthen local administrative capacity and reduce reliance upon donated funds; 2) provide technical assistance to the private health sector for health systems strengthening strategic assessments; 3) build capacity for non-communicable disease services; and 4) pilot-test novel microfluidic and immunoassay diagnostic technologies for low-cost, rapid, and accessible testing. Bienmoyo’s tenets for engaging local in-country partners include the presence of experienced senior leadership, a proven track record in implementing health services, commitment to include under served or under insured populations, and transparent financial operations. Preferred investment partners include those with a philosophy of empowering local stakeholders and financing that promotes entrepreneurship and locally sustainable enterprises.
