บริษัท บิ๊กคาเมร่า จำกัด ก่อตั้งขึ้นเมื่อวันที่ 16 กรกฎาคม 2540 โดยมีคุณชาญ เธียรกาญจนวงศ์ นักธุรกิจผู้มากประสบการณ์ และคร่ำหวอดอยู่ในแวดวงธุรกิจการถ่ายภาพกว่า 30 ปี เป็นผู้ก่อตั้ง โดยแต่เดิม ก่อนปี พ.ศ. 2540 คุณชาญดำเนินธุรกิจภายใต้ชื่อ “บริษัท ชาญเอนเตอร์ไพรส์ จำกัด” โดยเป็นผู้ค้าส่งอุปกรณ์ถ่ายภาพชั้นนำหลากหลายยี่ห้อ เป็นระยะเวลานานกว่า 10 ปี แต่ด้วยประสบการณ์และวิสัยทัศน์ของคุณชาญ ทำให้มองเห็นโอกาสและช่องทางการตลาดใหม่ๆ จึงได้พัฒนารูปแบบจากธุรกิจขายส่ง ให้กลายมาเป็นธุรกิจค้าปลีกให้กับกลุ่มลูกค้าโดยตรง และได้เปลี่ยนชื่อบริษัทใหม่เป็น “BIG Camera” โดยหากเรานับรวมระยะเวลาตั้งแต่ยุค “ชาญเอนเตอร์ไพรส์” จนถึงมาถึงยุคของ “BIG Camera” ในปัจจุบัน นับเป็นช่วงเวลากว่า 30 ปี เลยทีเดียว
ในวันนี้ BIG Camera กำลังก้าวเข้าสู่ปีที่ 15 จากจำนวนร้านในปีแรกเพียง 3 ร้าน ปัจจุบัน BIG Camera มีจำนวนร้านที่พร้อมให้บริการกว่า 200 สาขา โดยมีสินค้าให้คุณเลือกมากมายหลากหลาย ตอบสนองทุกความต้องการของคุณ ตอบรับกับสโลแกนที่ว่า “BIG Camera ศูนย์รวมกล้องดิจิตอลที่มีความสุขให้เลือกมากที่สุด”
