BIG RED is an All-in-One modular sewage treatment system, for use in domestic, commercial and industrial waste management. The BIG RED system biologically treats both black and grey water simultaneously to achieve international discharge standards. A combination of MBBR and IFAS technologies, combined with our BIG RED formulae in effluent treatment processes, ensure our results are unsurpassed. Prior to discharge, the treated water is disinfected rendering the effluent safe and suitable for irrigation and other secondary uses. The BIG RED discharge effluent parameters conform to the South African Department of Water and Sanitation general standards. (Special limits are achieved where required.) With our BIG RED SMART® monitoring system, our plants can be remotely monitored from anywhere in the world ensuring correct, effective and continuous operation. The BIG RED SMART system serves as an early warning system should the plant be exposed to any unexpected, unforeseen or undesired circumstances. With our prescribed use, the BIG RED system requires very little maintenance, originally designed for remote application we have perfected the low maintenance approach, however regular inspections are necessary.(compulsory SLA’s are included in larger applications, see below ref routine operational maintenance) Removal of sludge will only be carried out approximately every 24 months (usage dependent). Routine operational maintenance will be conducted every quarter by authorized staff under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) where necessary.
