The leading professional, volunteer-run nonprofit representing Aotearoa New Zealand’s BIM Management, Digital Engineering, and Asset Information community. We’re passionate about enhancing the efficiency of the built and operational environment by supporting the creation and management of both graphical and non-graphical information throughout the asset lifecycle. Our Story Originally formed in 2014 as a partnership between industry and government, BIMinNZ has evolved over the past decade through multiple forms with a constant goal: to accelerate the adoption of data driven practices in New Zealand’s built environment. In 2025, BIMinNZ launched a new independent National Committee to lead the next chapter. This revitalised group brings together experts across industry, government, and academia, focused on growing capability, sharing knowledge, and driving the use of reliable data across asset lifecycles. The Driving Force Behind BIMinNZ The regional and national committee members of BIMinNZ serve as the guiding leadership behind this community; a nationwide alliance of industry experts, policymakers, asset owners, and academia. Their shared goal is to improve the efficiency of how projects are planned, designed, constructed, operated, and maintained across New Zealand.
