The Bio-Analysis Centre offers Triple Quad Mass Spectrometry, advanced HPLC plus the latest High Performance label free Capillary Electrophoresis (HPCE) system from deltaDOT. With these instruments we can assist in identifying and quantitating a wide range of analytes through contract research - based on over 20 years experience, offering both Academia and Industry a fully comprehensive service. With regard to our services, we use the Shimadzu Nexera XR HPLC system and the Shimadzu LCMS-8040. The HPLC's have cooled autosamplers and Photo-Diode Array detectors, which can be used for compound analysis from small molecules to proteins. Our LCMS system provides highly sensitive, reliable and fast results. Analysis of both positive and negative ions is possible in the same experiment due to fast polarity switching capabilities – allowing for simultaneous analysis, and its ability to do quantitation with good linearity makes this an ideal instrument for drug studies. For our HPCE service, we use one of deltaDOT’s latest instruments (HPCE-512), which separates and analyses a wide range of samples - from small molecules and amino acids, through to proteins and virus-like particles. It uses an advanced form of label free CE which produces faster, higher quality results at a fraction of the cost of many other approaches. We are aspiring to GLP compliance so that we will be able to meet a wider range of clients’ analytical requirements. In addition to providing an analytical service, we also offer training on the Shimadzu Nexera XR HPLC and the Shimadzu LCMS-8040 systems. Once training has been completed, clients will receive in-house certification, allowing them to use our equipment to run their own samples. This cost-effective service gives clients more control over their research and allows them to work at their own pace. Although clients will be fully responsible for conducting their own work, there will always be a laboratory assistant available to help if needed.
