The majority of the bioassays that are used today relay on labeled detection schemes, but these techniques may have a limited flexibility due to the need of using multiple reagents. Opposite to labeled techniques, label-free technologies are achieving promising results since they offer several advantages for IVD: accuracy, precisión, sensitivity, short turn-around time, easy and label-free operation, real time análisis and cost-effectiveness.
