BioEcoOcean

Biological and ecosystem (BioEco) ocean observation is crucial for enabling a better understanding of life in the ocean, improved management, and the sustainable use and development of the ocean. Consequently, it has raised a need for innovative solutions for planning and using ocean observations. The EU-funded BioEcoOcean project brings together researchers and stakeholders to co-create a novel Blueprint for Integrated Ocean Science which aims to improve collaboration and holistic thinking across the ocean observing value chain. Furthermore, the project will advance research on many aspects of essential BioEco ocean observations, from planning observations, collecting and reporting data, to developing ocean information products according to the needs of ocean data users.
