Biofarm

Biofarm was established in response to the Environment Bill receiving Royal Assent in November 2021. As an Act of Parliament, it requires that all new developments in England must provide a minimum 10% net gain in biodiversity. The new Biodiversity Net Gain legislation, at last, puts a value on England’s vastly depleted biodiversity. It brings ecology nearer to the forefront of all real estate development decisions, with climate and nature now considered in every project interaction. With the new government pushing to get the country building, and also focused on hitting their “30 by 30” targets, Biofarm is playing a key role in facilitating this as a leading, off-site BNG provider. We support developers through their planning process, with expertise relating to off-site BNG, and help them satisfy their net gain requirements with local, off-site habitat units, simultaneously creating amazing, high quality, spaces for nature.
