About BioGeCo
The BioGeCo Network is open to young Colombian and German scientists from all disciplines. With their innovative ideas from their research projects, their dynamism and vision of a sustainable society, they are invited to shape research between the two countries. Geckos are the most species-rich group of lizards; they are our symbol of interdisciplinarity. Geckos are also known for their ability to adapt to different environments and regenerate their tail, making them resilient and robust members of ecosystems on every continent of the world. The colors of the gecko in our logo represent the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations Organization.
