BioJet Energy

BioJet Energy (BioJet) is an Australian company established to manufacture sustainable transportation bio fuels from municipal, commercial and agricultural waste that does not compete with valuable agricultural food resources. BioJet is one of only a few companies that has the ability to viably produce second generation cellulosic biofuels that are competitive with petroleum fuels without the need for subsidies. BioJet utilises an advanced gasification manufacturing process using steam fluidisation, with a recently developed bi metal catalyst to produce clean sustainable transportation fuels, initially methanol, ethanol, propanol and butanol, at a lower cost than any other bio fuel manufacturer. Subsequently BioJet intends to produce drop in aviation fuels and green diesel. BioJet is currently seeking equity partners to construct a $17.5M pilot plant to scale up its technology ahead of building the first full scale modular production plant with an annual capacity of not less than 55 million litres.
