Biolidics Ltd, formerly known as Clearbridge BioMedics, is a medical technology company focusing on the development of cell enrichment systems which, when combined with other analytical tests, have a wide range of applications for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, treatment selection and treatment monitoring.
Biolidics has developed patented technology and solutions with the potential to serve as a platform technology for the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment selection and treatment monitoring of various types of cancers.
The ClearCell® FX1 System by Biolidics is a fully automated CE-IVD medical device which relies on a novel patented technology to separate and enrich cancer cells from blood. This allows users of the system to perform liquid biopsies to test for the presence of cancer cells (specifically circulating tumour cells, or CTCs) in blood samples or perform further analysis on cancer cells, providing a simple and minimally invasive alternative to tissue biopsies, which involve the surgical removal of tissue from a patient's body.
Our patented award-winning microfluidic technologies have many applications throughout the various stages of a patient's cancer journey, from cancer screening and staging to personalised treatment, and post-cancer monitoring.
The ClearCell® FX1 System has been installed in academic and research institutes, hospitals and laboratories across the world, including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the US and certain EU countries.
Biolidics is a spin-off from the National University of Singapore (NUS) / SMART MIT and is the first incubatee of Clearbridge Accelerator, a high-technology incubator backed by the Singapore Government’s National Research Foundation (NRF).
